Church Bells

Bells have been used since the ancient times to celebrate war victories and to worship the gods for bountiful harvests. The Persians are believed to have used bells to summon the blessings of their goddess Osiris. But the bells then were crude and small, usually attached to parade horses or held by hand.

In the feudal state that followed, villages built larger bells that they put in their watch towers. When the guard sees oncoming harm or attacks in the horizon, he rings the bells to warn the people.

The Bishop Paulinius of Nola, a town of Campania in Italy, is said to have begun the practice of installing bells in the church. Other Christian churches followed suit and began using bells as early as the year 400. Two centuries later, Pope Sabinian sanctioned the use of bells. All church structures would have to have belfries. The purpose is to summon the faithful for the angelus and masses.

Constant reconfigurations throughout the centuries have produced the modern bells that we know now. They sound and look different from their ancestors. Discoveries of several ancient bells from the Celtic abbeys showed that they were forged from bronze and silver sheets. They were also square in shape and must not have been as powerful as the modern bells when producing sound.

In the ninth century, the practice was adapted by the Orthodox churches in Russia. They constructed massive belfries to house gigantic bells. The sounds of these bells were loud enough to be heard miles and miles away. Their cathedrals boast of the largest existing bells in the world today.

Restoring and fine tuning ancient church bells is an industry in itself. Several professional restorers devote their expertise to bringing these bells back to their former glory and to hear them as they have sounded then.

Bells provides detailed information on Bells, Sleigh Bells, Tubular Bells, Church Bells and more. Bells is affiliated with Sterling Silver Charms.

Let's Restore the Word of Christ

"What? Trying to spread the gospel message without quoting from the New Testament? Impossible!" That may be your first reaction, but just think about it. Scholars tell us that the first New Testament book, either Galatians or First Thessalonians, was written in about 50 CE, nearly 20 years after that glorious Pentecost when Christ crucified was first proclaimed as the only possible remedy for sinners. The last New Testament books, probably the letters of John or Revelation, were likely written in the 90s, close to three generations after the Resurrection.
The New Testament as a unit was probably unavailable until the mid-second century. And yet Christianity experienced some of its most dynamic growth during this period when its Bible consisted only of the Old Testament.

How did those earliest Christians do it? The Book of Acts is clear: The apostles said, "We cannot help speaking about what we have seen and heard" (4:20). It wasn't long before they were told, "you have filled Jerusalem with your teaching" (5:28). The early Christians "preached the word wherever they went" (8:4). They "turned the world upside down" (Acts 17:6 ASV). They were convinced that "faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word of Christ" (Rom. 10:17).

What is this "word of Christ"? At the time Paul wrote Romans it could not have been the written Word, because such did not exist. It had to be the spoken Word, translated to each human heart through the life-experience of a living, breathing Christian.

It is this oral Word of God that we must restore to modern Christianity. Not that we should throw away our New Testaments--far from it! Let's read more and feed more. But let's also seed more and lead more. Speaking for Jesus in our world, to our FRAN (Friends, Relatives, Acquaintances, and Neighbors) is the key to a revival of dynamic evangelism. Let's commit ourselves to sow continually; that God may bless abundantly; and then let's reap unceasingly.

Zodiac Symbol Virgo From Vedic Astrology

Many individuals will pick up the newspaper and read their daily horoscope, but few really understand the true meaning being the zodiac symbol they were born under. With Vedic Astrology, the symbols or signs of the Zodiac that an individual is born under are considered as characteristic traits of that individual. In the Zodiac, the sun represents the inner nature, character, and personality of individuals.

The sixth symbol of the Zodiac is Virgo, the Virgin, which is considered to be an earth sign. The symbol for Virgo is a virgin who is holding sheaves of wheat within her hands, which symbolizes wisdom that has been gained through experience. Virgo the Virgin is considered to be a mutable sign, which is ruled by the planet Mercury that is considered to be the messenger from the gods, as well as a magical trickster.

The planet Mercury controls the intellect and communicative functions of individuals who are born under the Virgo sign. It also controls female Virgos who are intellectual, critical, and analytical in their approach to life whenever it is in the right cycle.

Individuals who are born under the symbol of Virgo the Virgin are inclined to be practical, industrious, and adaptable. They seem to possess a remarkable eye for detail. Virgos are shy, but are waiting for that perfect love, so they are also idealistic. Disappointment will harden them to become cynical and skeptical, which is due to disappointments that have been either discriminating in nature or on a more sensitive issue. Virgos are known to be intellectual, but yet critical, especially of their own self and of the circumstances around them.

Individuals born under the sign of Virgo tend to be very health-conscious and try to stay in good health by participating in a regular exercise program so they can continue to stay physically fit. They tend to enjoy tennis, swimming, biking, fishing, racquetball, and sailing, but not competitively, just mostly for fun. Whatever skills Virgos seek, they aim to be the best in it. They tend to have talents in a variety of crafts such as designing and dressmaking, and may participate in the art of cartography and philately. Virgos enjoy reading books and magazines as well as writing, so communication is very important to them.

Virgos are perfectionists and are ceaseless in their pursuit. They have an irresistible urge to improve everything and everyone, with irresistible motives of helping others. They are service-oriented in seeking to improve the environment by pursuing careers in health fields such as teaching and counseling.

Virgos who have a tendency to act the martyr will use guilt as a weapon when their offerings are ignored. This is when Virgos can be destructive in their motives, but not on purpose. Virgo the Virgin rules the sinus, respiratory system, and bowels of the body, so they are prone to colds, flu, allergies, constipation, and problems with the intestines. They complain of black moods or bouts of depression and can be despondent at times.

Their colors are blue, yellow, navy, lilac, and yellow with blue being the principal color. The birthstone for Virgos is the sapphire, which is a combination of corundum and was known as a love charm in some ancient societies. Sapphires are available in a variety of colors with some even being transparent, but the most valuable of these are the blue ones. The flowers and plants commonly known to be associated with Virgos are the aster, ivy, fern, and the chrysanthemum.

Note to Pastor - About That Music

I'm getting old. That's the only explanation/apology I give for the following comments. It does not set aside the truths which I am trying to communicate. But it is a fact. And in many churches, the desires of the young have been placed over the wisdom of the elderly. Music is one of the victims of this decision. For centuries the Church has passed on a legacy of rich doctrine-laden verse, majestic-sounding melodies, true "psalms, hymns, songs of the Spirit." As with Scripture, these have been recorded (no one is claiming inspiration here) and passed on. The bad ones were weeded out, the classics remained, the collection of songs went forward.

But as I have said in another place: " ...now, the collections are set aside en masse. Entirely new collections are in place, and weekly there are new songs added to the list. A man who has been a Christian for 50 years can sit through a meeting totally a stranger to the music portion of the fellowship. And he can think he is a stranger to the church, being left behind. This has not been true in every generation. It is sadly true in this one."

English-speaking believers have exported this treasure of music all over the world. To this day many nations sing translations of the old hymns of the faith, while those who passed it to them, the Western Church, have gone on, may I say it, to lesser things. Oh, there is energy, zeal, and for the most part, truth, in the new songs. But there is little depth, character, and beauty. Little being written today can compare to the grand songs. The beat is consistently rock-folk. Guitars replace organs. No room in some churches for multi styles, multi instruments. We must get those kids in. Get rid of the old, bring in the new.

Sounds like the rantings of an old man, don't you think? But if there is any truth in what I speak, take note, and in your church, perhaps you can still "save the music." Someone, I believe, must pass on the good parts of our past to the next generation. Someone must do the weeding out of the questionable lyrics and tempos today. Someone needs to exercise discernment in this area.

If the present crop of songs is allowed to be the entire musical inheritance we leave the next church, I fear that that church will be a much weaker one, one that is much more susceptible to what is coming to the planet. We need to revive the old songs, and add to them cautiously some of the new, as we have done for so long.

Abomination That Makes Desolate - The Response

Jesus, Daniel, John, and Paul all talk about a horrendous event that shall come to the planet before Jesus comes and sets things right. Jesus' name for it is "the abomination of desolation." Something that God hates and therefore judges. Ruling out the historical previews of such an event via Antiochus and Titus, we conclude with Paul in his second letter to the Thessalonians, chapter 2, that the ultimate abomination that makes desolate is Satan himself. He will sit in the Temple. Not a pig. Not an idol.

Jesus gives directions to anyone in the area in that day: Get out!

Now, did this ever happen before? Yes. The scene was lived out in AD 70. But it will happen again. Revelation confirms an end time hiding place for those who flee during this period (12:6, 14-16). Then will come the host of pretenders, even miracle-workers, to convince you that Jesus is already back, as they were doing in the Thessalonian church. Paul and Jesus say, Don't you believe it!

Matthew 24:26, "Therefore if they say to you, 'Look, He is in the desert!' do not go out; or 'Look, He is in the inner rooms!' do not believe it."

This is one of the problems with the so-called "secret rapture" idea. Jesus said it: Matthew 24:27, "As the lightning comes from the east and flashes to the west, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. For wherever the carcass is, there the eagles will be gathered together."

Paul speaks of that same day by the same name in I Thessalonians 4:15-16. At the "coming of the Lord" will be a shout, an angelic voice, and a trumpet, as the Lord is descending from Heaven. No secret here. If Jesus or Paul knew of a prior trip to earth, why did neither of them mentionboth events in the same place? Why allow such confusion in the text? Or is it the modern teachers who have added the confusion?

Plainly, every eye will see Jesus when He comes (Revelation 1:7) just like everyone in the vicinity of a lightning bolt sees it plainly. An even more interesting analogy is suggested by eagles, or more properly in context here, vultures. You've seen them hovering, circling, and when the death is confirmed, swiftly pouncing on the dead body. Vultures go where the action is. Once the body is clearly dead they are not in the air, they are down.

Once Jesus decides to come to earth, he will come to the center of the fray, with an army of believers in his train. No hesitation. No mention of what modern "scholars" and moviemakers promulgate so freely. No preliminary flight. Lightning strike! Vulture landing! It's over. "The Son has come and you've been left behind" to be judged, now.

Matthew 24:29 "Immediately after the tribulation...they will see the Son of Man coming in the clouds of heaven...and He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather His elect from the four winds." The angels, the trumpet, the ingathering. It's all here. This is the rapture, this is the catching up of the church. This is the second and final coming, the only one promised by Jesus!

How the "second" second coming came into such strong belief is truly amazing!

The Trumpet Of The Lord Shall Sound

It was one of our favorite songs. "When the trumpet of the Lord shall sound, and time shall be no more." Back in the days when I first heard and sang that great hymn of the faith, I had never seen the Biblical status of the trumpet, the Hebrew shofar. A quick study reveals this dynamic instrument, the horn of a ram, in battles, in praise to God, as an instrument of warning. But for us in this later generation, perhaps its most compelling usage is as the signal of the end.

Sounding much like the Spirit's words to the prophet Daniel, the New Testament's Seer, John, is shown a mighty angel (Revelation 10) with a mighty announcement. He plants feet on land and sea and cries out like a lion, lifting his holy hand to Heaven, and swears that time shall be no more. Just like the song said.

He goes on to tell the exact moment of that ending. It will be signaled by the sounding of the last of a series of seven trumpet blasts. Mere poetry? In the next chapter that very trumpet, the seventh, sounds off. Immediately the kingdoms of this world fall to Christ Jesus! His wrath falls on the planet. There are judgments and resurrections. Time as we know it has ended.

Knowing that the seventh trumpet is the last trumpet before the very end helps clear up a mystery that modern pop theologians have introduced in these modern days about the timing of the second coming. For John is not the only one who mentions a trumpet at the end. Jesus and Paul do too.

Jesus says (Matthew 24) that after the tribulation period, nature will give out, Jesus will appear, and at the sound of a trumpet, He'll gather His own to Himself. We call this gathering the rapture today. That word has scared a lot of people away, but all it means is that we go from where we are to where He is.

Paul, in I Corinthians 15 says that one day we will all be changed from these vile bodies. It will happen in an instant. And that instant, he says, is the last trumpet. "For the trumpet will sound and the dead will be raised incorruptible. And we shall be changed."

The message is clear and consistent. World chaos. World war. World dictator. Then suddenly in the air Jesus appears. The angel sounds the shofar, and off we go forever to be with the Lord. Great words of comfort. Great words of hope.

I cannot end such talk without another plea for my brothers and sisters suffering in North Korea and other prison lands where the Gospel cannot be preached freely. Let us continue to ask God that this wonderfully good news of an eternally righteous government where there is no poverty or death or suffering will be allowed to be spread up and down Korea's mountains and valleys. Ask God to add souls to His eternal Kingdom, to teach them His Word, to prepare them for that last trumpet sounding "when the dead in Christ shall rise and the glory of His resurrection share."

In North Korea - Two Fathers And Two Sons

The Billy Graham family has quite a legacy in North Korea. According to Thomas Belke's Juche Billy visited the nation in 1992 and 1994, the year Kim Il Sung passed on. He was permitted to preach at state "churches", and at the Kim Il Sung University. He gave his personal testimony to Mr. Kim, though with no positive results.

Belke theorizes that Graham was allowed such liberty because his wife had attended a Christian school in Pyongyang in the 30's. Others impute a more sinister motive to the Great One. Perhaps he was trying to tell a watching world that he was really open to religion, and how could they ever have thought otherwise? All of this drama while thousands of believers suffered in his prisons.

Belke says that the facade goes on today. Tourists to Pyongyang tell of visiting both Catholic and Protestant churches, and seeing some of the same North Korean faces! They see unused Bibles and "members" who don't know how to find songs in their hymnals. All actors. But actors whose job is of limited tenure. Repeat performances are never allowed by those who have genuine tears in their eyes after a performance...

And now, son Franklin Graham has visited son Kim Jong Il. Though far from praising the dictator, he urges that we keep communication lines open. I'm not necessarily in agreement with either of the Grahams' philosophy, but I feel it is important that we see what is going on as the door may be opening ever so slightly. We will not be of those who sit in judgment in "the seat of the scornful" though we offer our warnings regarding compromise and selling out the suffering.

The Gospel will get in to North Korea. It is circulating even now. It is for this that we continue to long and pray. Let us rejoice for any Light that penetrates. And let's keep praying.

Thinking Outside The Box

Council of Nicaea Conclusion - The Origins of Christian Belief

In the year 325A.D the emperor of Rome, Constantine gathered a group of church bishops and other leaders who believes in Christianity. The purpose of the meeting was to define the true God for all Christians and eliminate any confusion within Christ's church.

By the end of this council, Jesus, God and the Holy Spirit were considered one and the same. Before the council, there was confusion about, whether they should believe in one God, two gods or three entities.

Here's a statement from got questions, a popular Christian website, "The Council of Nicea affirmed the deity of Jesus Christ and established an official definition of the Trinity-the deity of The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit under one Godhead, in three co-equal and co-eternal Persons."

This was a pretty interesting article, if you've got time to read it, I would also suggest checking out Wikipedia for more information about the Council of Nicaea.

Here's Some of the Problems I Have with This Small Group of Proclaimed Christians.

If I'm reading this statement correctly, a group of people or religious leaders, 1700 years ago decided that Jesus, God the creator of everything in the universe and the Holy Spirit are the same. What does this mean to you? To me it establishes as a fact that a group of men, at a meeting, under the control of the Roman empire and the Emperor Constantine, made an agreement within the Council of man, not gods, that the Trinity was now a fact.

If this one thing was created by a group of men, doesn't it get you thinking about other things in your religion that might be false or even misleading. These are some of the facts that most Christians tend to either ignore or don't even have a clue that they exist.

I believe more Christians and other organized religions should inspire their followers to learn more about how their religions were formed and where they came from. I cannot verify that the Council of Nicaea ever took place, I'm basing this information on historical writings from man, that I either gather on the Internet or through books. I don't know if any of this is true or false, always use religion responsibly.

I don't need to believe the information, I don't need to believes the information in the Bible, I need to research and gather more information and with this information I can make an educated guess, and be happy with that, I suggest you do the same.

Talking to Me Jesus? (Ephesus)

"Unto the angel of the church of Ephesus write; These things saith he that holdeth the seven stars in his right hand, who walketh in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks; I know thy works, and thy labour, and thy patience, and how thou canst not bear them which are evil: and thou hast tried them which say they are apostles, and are not, and hast found them liars: And hast borne, and hast patience, and for my name's sake hast laboured, and hast not fainted. Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love. Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent."-Revelation 2: 1-5

Jesus Christ himself spoke these words and asks the Apostle John to record his message to the church of Ephesus. Jesus expressed to the angel or messenger of this church that he knows their works. It is very important to understand that Jesus knows are works and not just from a surface level. Proverbs 21:2 says "Every way of a man is right in his own eyes: but the LORD pondereth the hearts." God has the ability to look inside the heart of man. God knows the secrets in our minds and he judges accordingly. We should all examine our motive behind our works. Examine the who, what, where and why behind our works. Also it is important to know that we must work, if Jesus said to you I know your works would he have much to say? I know the topic of works is very sensitive in the body of Christ because we seem to go extreme at times. Is works necessary for salvation the answer is no. We would dare not take away from the crucifixion of our Lord by adding our works to it. Are works necessary? Yes according to several scriptures. James 2:17 "Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone." Hebrews 13:21 Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen. Matthew 25: 34-40 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me. Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink? When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me. The problem with the body of Christ and works is that we exalt ourselves in our works. We trust too much in our works as if they bring the favor of God to us our bring us higher towards God. Works are really something we do out of love for God and his people. We love God enough not to see people go hungry.

The second point of Christ message to Ephesus is that he knows their labor and their patience. Are we a church that labors to the point of exhaustion for Christ? Jesus praised them for their labor they would work for him regardless of the situation, obstacles, and the time it took because they had patience. If things went wrong they had patience in waiting for God to fix the problem. Galatians 6:9 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. You must have a great attitude in doing the Lord's work or you will become bitter and quit. This church didn't grow tired in well doing can the same be said about us? Jesus said in his letter to this church that for my name's sake you have labored and had patience and not fainted. We are looking at a committed church. A church with faith must be faithful.

The third point is that this church did not tolerate sin. Today the church is lacking the most in this area. We have taken the grace of God, the forgiveness of God, and his mercy and abused it. God has made it quite clear that sin is not permitted by him. The grace of God was given to us to set us free from sin. Romans 6:14-16 "For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace." What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid. Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?

The grace of God is the gift that gives us what we don't deserve now shall we take advantage of it by sinning as much as possible because God forgives certainly not. The early church was very much into discipline and restoration they never left out one important word REPENT. It is true we all sin, but shall we continue in the same sins daily. What happened to the fear of the Lord? We should not only take the sin in our life serious but the sin in our brothers and sisters life serious because it leads to death. So many times we sweep things under the rug and attribute it to growing rather than taking steps to allowing the Lord to make corrections. Today there are many thieves, adulterers, false prophets and wolves in the church what will we do about it? The same was true in the book of Acts you had false prophets and wolves like Simon Magus in Acts 8. You had thieves and liars like Ananias and Sapphira in Acts 5. Understand that discipline was given and the church moved on and began to prosper even more. Discipline is done in love and intended to restore, but never intended to pacify sin. Jesus himself praised this church for their discipline and we should seek to understand how to do this properly from the Lord himself.

The verdict given unto the church of Ephesus is with all its duties, labor, patience, love, and discipline they unintentionally forgot their first love. It is so easy to begin to walk in the Lord and to begin working hard and forget why you are doing all these things. You can forget who gave you the ability to accomplish these awesome tasks. They forgot Jesus just like Martha did in Luke 10: 39-42 "And she had a sister called Mary, which also sat at Jesus' feet, and heard his word. But Martha was cumbered about much serving, and came to him, and said, Lord, dost thou not care that my sister hath left me to serve alone? bid her therefore that she help me. And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things:But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her." So much work but so little thought about the one you are working for. Remember how it was when we first got saved. The hours in prayer, the dedication to studying, the faithful attendance, the save the world mentality. Remember the things that you wouldn't even dare to say, watch, or participate in. Never forget how it was when you first got saved. Jesus gave us a new life and we are commanded to be as children full of love, joy, and awaiting instruction from the Father. God what is it you want me to do today. Let us not make our time in the Lord repetive but new every morning.

In conclusion, how much of you can you see in the church of Ephesus? Where is your work, patience, labor, and discipline? How about your first love are you walking better with the Lord today then you were last year? Is there ever a time you can look back and say I was a better Christian then? If so it is time to do just what Jesus said do repent and go back to the way things were. Love is so awesome in a relationship. Spiritual Humor In Religion - Read This It's Funny

Well you probably heard of the problems that some people get into when they drink a little too much and start to drive their cars. This is known as drinking and driving irresponsibly and can be hazardous to your health but more hazardous to your pocketbook. Overdosing on drugs, spending too much money shopping, gambling excessively and last but not least, spending too much time at your place of worship can be hazardous to others. Over time, our loved ones seem to suffer the most from our excesses.

I suggest most people use religion responsibly and try not to overindulge in the excesses of your spiritual practice. Like an alcoholic drinking until they feel good, only to wake up feeling bad the next morning. And then starting the process all over the next day.

Now for the big question, "Are You a Religiousoholic?" Do you spend too much time at church? Do you surround yourself exclusively with people that share your same religious beliefs?

If you answered yes to any of the above questions, there's a good chance you're a religiousoholic. Like alcoholics and drug addicts, there is help for you, once you've identified your problem, we can help. We call it our 5 step program. Alcoholics Anonymous has a 12 step program for recovery but we have eliminated a couple and rearranged others in hopes for a faster recovery.

Religionolism is no laughing matter and should be handled with the utmost delicacy. Start with the first step and work your way down the list and within a short period of time you should find yourself free from the religious tyranny of your institutionalized religion.

Step 1. The biggest problem you're going to happen during your recovery will be the temptation from religious followers, wanting you to come back. Like a drug addict, saying no to drugs,it's hard, you're going to have to be strong here. Learn to say no to organized religion and yes to religious freedom.

Step 2. Instead of reading Scripture, start reading about other religions around the world. You will find some weird things and new ideas, but the bottom line here is that you'll be able to see some similarities, and silliness between the religions.

Step 3. You can still spend time praying, just spend more time praying about how grateful you are, instead of praying for something you want, start spending a little more time thanking God for the things in your lives that you already have. I have spent a lot of time praying for things I never got. When I stopped praying for the things, I thought I needed, I started getting the things I really needed.

Step 4. Start spending a little more time believing in yourself, some religions seem to give all the glory and credit to their gods and very little to the people that are actually making the sacrifices. I have also noticed that when something goes wrong, some religious followers tend to punish themselves and it just doesn't seem fair. God gets all the credit when things are good and you blame yourself when things go wrong.

Step 5. Start showing a little more compassion towards people who don't think the same as you do or believe in your religion. Love and compassion are the true acts of a religious believer. I believe you'll find that in every religious scripture... somewhere.

Sometimes we get a little carried away in our beliefs and tend to beat up other people who don't share them with us. If you're part of a religion who discriminates, shows intolerance, bigotry or prejudice to other nonbelievers, maybe this isn't the religion you think it should be.

Figure Out What You Want In Life

Following The Old Religious Text - Religion

Most people tend to bury their head in the sand when it comes to problems with their family, community, job, government and of course religious beliefs. They don't want to hear the truth and often they can't see the truth. I have read many religious text, books and other literature, missing some very important parts and only when I reread the information, did I find what I have missed. Sometimes I have needed to read or listen to the same information over 30 times, before it becomes somewhat clear to me.

Most religions are living in the dark ages. From what I gather, Hinduism is over 4000 years old, Judaism is around 2500 years old, Christianity is 2000 years old and Islam is about 1400 years old. People are following information today that isn't necessarily applicable to modern times but often religious leaders can twist it around, add some verbiage, make a semi-educated judgment and now we have something we can follow. It just doesn't make sense.

Why do we put so much faith in religious books like the Bible, Torah, Bhagavad-Gita and Quran, when these books cannot be proven and often have many mistakes and errors. I know people that open these books very carefully and treat them like they are made from solid gold. They are books like any others but often people live their lives from the information inside, strictly and religiously. Often never straying from their beliefs, even though they're outdated and hard to follow.

Let me get to the bottom line here, have you researched your religion and if you have, do you have any questions that can't be answered? Do you read any of the religious text and often wonder or think to yourself, this doesn't seem to make sense, because you just read something else that was contradicting the last statement.

You can handle the truth about your religion. By reading this article, it tells me that you're on the Internet, can you go to a search engine and type in Bible contradictions, Torah contradictions, or whatever your beliefs are. I was searching for errors in the Bible and came upon a couple of pretty good web sites.

Use words like contradiction, problems, errors and see what websites you come up with.

Seek the wisdom and the truth shall set you free.

Christian Myths Exposed - It's Hard to Be a Christian

Mat 11:30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. (Jesus speaking)

Pro 13:15 Good understanding giveth favour: but the way of transgressors is hard.

Notice the contrast in these two verses compared to what we are taught or what has been implied about being a Christian. Notice that, the way of the transgressors is hard, not those who follow Jesus!

Just Imagine...

Coming to a place in your life where you're trust in God is never shaken and you never again rely on your performance to gain favor with God. You know Him as a kind and gracious Father who always takes care of you and all of your needs are met, all the time, regardless of your performance or your own goodness --- A place where you can rise above your circumstances and live free from all guilt, shame, stress, and religious pressure. Where your life is no longer governed by a set of rules, but by a close and intimate relationship with God.

And even when you are afraid and your flesh is looking for a way out and you are blaming yourself or looking for someone else to blame, deep down in the innermost part of your soul, you are truly and fearlessly trusting God! Even if you fail and your sin seems to overtake your mind, your inner trust in His provision of righteousness sustains you and you never fear the outcome!
How would you feel if suddenly you realized that you were no longer responsible for your destiny, your future, your provision (or prosperity), or your failures or successes or those of the people that you care about... What if I told you that your responsibility ends, where your trust in God begins, and there is where the wisdom of God is found to take your next step....

Jesus said that His yoke is easy and His burden is light. We have been taught to carry the load that Jesus has already carried with Him (for us) --- to the cross. Pro 13:15 says, "Good understanding giveth favour: but the way of transgressors is hard." Did you get that? --- The yoke of Jesus is EASY, --- the way of the trangressor is HARD! ---

Live the Free Life Promised By Jesus...

What I have been describing is a life of freedom, that's exactly how Christians are supposed to live according to the Bible! The Gospel (Good News!) has gotten lost somewhere in our religious activity and our rules, which by the way are different for every church, every pastor, and every Christian! "Freedom in Christ" has become such a clich among Christians, but is not experienced by very many people I have known in church!

This is not just another Bible study, it is the simple truth of the good news of the New Testament. When you strip away religious predjudice and study the Bible the way it is written, the myths become exposed and you see that Jesus did all of the work on the cross, there is nothing left to do but accept His acceptance of you. This is RADICAL, and yet it is the SIMPLE gospel of Jesus...

Victims of Religious Spirits....

If you have struggled and you think it's hard to be a Christian, you have been the victim of mean, religious spirits that want you to have a hard life and blame God for it. I want to attack the idea that most Christians have that the Christian life is hard and that to be a Christian you have to keep rules and make yourself do things that you don't want to do in order to please God.

Whether it's paying tithes, being nice to people, going to church, praying hard, reading your bible, and the list goes on , I want to submit to you that Jesus did the hard stuff so you would "have it made" in this life and then have everlasting joy with Him throughout eternity!

If it's Not Difficult, I Must Be Doing Something Wrong...

Most of us have been sold on the idea if it's not difficult then we are not doing something right. We think that we are not pleasing God if things are going easy. We all feel sometimes that what we are going through is because we don't measure up or we have failed God and that is why our lives are so difficult. NOTHING COULD BE FURTHER FROM THE TRUTH! Listen to the words of Jesus in John 10:10:

"I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly."

Jesus paid a great price to give you liberty, freedom, and joy! He didn't go through all that He went through so that we would be under pressure to perform and have a hard life.

The enemy has a plan to keep you from knowing this about God; Jesus paid the full price for your past, present, and future. That price has been paid in full, there is nothing left for you to do except believe that He did it all!

My Personal Struggle...

Now let's bring this down to where we live. You may have been told sometime in your life to be a "good" person and things would go well with you, God would be pleased with you, or God would bless you. Well, I was told that too, and it seemed the harder I tried to be a "good" person, the worse things got for me. What's up with that?

I thought that if we tried hard, then God would help us become better Christians! It didn't work for me. Yet I watched others in church that seemed to have their act together which left me feeling like there was something wrong with me.

I wondered if maybe I was just not as "good" as they were. Well I found out later in life that those people (for the most part) were better than me at something, and that was they were better at hiding their true identities behind religious attitudes!

Now I am not saying that all people who go to church are hypocrites, but I am saying that knowingly or not, people learn to put on airs around other religious people and never really reveal who they really are.

Knowing this then, how do we live a life of freedom and joy? If the religion of the day can't set us free, then there is something bad wrong with our religious system. "Jesus came to set us free" has become a clich in church today that we use without understanding true freedom. Here are a few traits you will have as you discover real freedom in Christ:

  • You won't worry about anything
  • You won't care what anybody thinks of you
  • You will be truly generous and loving towards people
  • You won't let people control your life (Not even religious leaders)
  • You will trust God in all things
  • You will be who you are without religious pretense
  • You will not be tied down to a set of rules
  • You will serve God without reservation, but without the restrictions religion brings
  • You will experience REAL JOY
  • You will not be moved by bad events and trouble in your life

If I sound a little rebellious, you're right about me. Jesus stood strong in the face of religious demons and people who wanted Him dead in order to get this freedom to you. Someone has worked hard to steal what Jesus has provided for you already! If I could give you one key today to living life completely free from everything that wants to bind you up and keep you living small in life, would you be interested?

Okay, here it is:

2Co 5:21 says, "For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him." You are the righteousness of God in Jesus!

Jesus became sin for you so that you would be acceptable to God in whatever condition you are in right now!

You are NEVER acceptable to God by trying to be "good", working harder, praying more, reading your bible more, stopping a bad habit or lifestyle. Your acceptance by God is based only on the finished work of Jesus!

When we are righteous, then we are acceptable to God, but we can never be righteous on our own. Righteousness is a FREE GIFT from Jesus to us and the ONLY requirement on our part is to receive it:

Rom 5:17 "For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)" That's the Gospel (good news) of the New Testament!

You are completely and unconditionally loved and accepted by your Father right now, right where you are, just how you are! By faith you can receive this gift of righteousness (or right standing with God) and have fellowship with God and know that everything is okay no matter what is going on in your life. And furthermore, God will heal you, bless you, talk with you, and provide everything you need in life without you doing one thing but accepting this incredible FREE gift of righteousness.

You may be thinking right now, "this guy is crazy, God can't bless me, I have too many problems, I'm doing bad things right now." I am telling you that God not only will bless you, He wants to more than you can imagine.

Jesus did all of the work, carried the cross, took our sin upon Himself so that you could be declared righteous before God. Your enemy wants you to carry a distorted view of God for the rest of your life so you will never get to God to receive this gift that makes you acceptable to God by faith alone.

Are you getting it? Righteousness = Jesus plus NOTHING! You can't help yourself become more or less righteous by your own efforts. Nothing you do can change your standing with God except for having faith in what He has already done for you! God Himself can change you and prepare you to have success in life but you MUST trust Him and maintain fellowship with Him according to His righteousness, not your good works!

Forget trying to please God, you only please Him by faith, and the first place you need to exercise your faith is in the finished work of righteousness that Jesus has provided for you.
If you get this, YOU WILL BE ON YOUR WAY TO TRUE FREEDOM.

I know how all of this may sound to you, but it is the truth according to Jesus who is the TRUTH!

Blessings Until Next Time

Submit RSS Feeds Automatically - Things You Need to Know

Everyone knows it. So do you. Backlinks are gold. This is why Wordpress is king. Another reason WordPress is so important, is because it uses RSS feeds. These feeds tell other websites to visit you because you have posted new content. This process builds back links and traffic.

In order to get the most out of RSS feed submission, you need to understand the difference between pinging and submission. When you ping a website, it's a one-way thing. There is no confirmation or proof that your site will be aggregated. When you submit a feed to RSS feed aggregators, you're guaranteed that the submission will be linked and included in their index.

This is where the Gold is. But if the method is so golden, why isn't everybody utilizing it? Because it takes time. Tons of time. Going from site to site submitting link after link is a pain in the butt. Just imagine logging in to one site and submitting the link, then on into another site and submitting another link, and repeating this process for 10 more sites. What you need is a way to submit these links automatically while you focus your precious time someone more important. After all time is money and the golden rule of marketing is to outsource as much as you can.

So if you're new to submitting RSS feeds, don't give up. If you look around you sure to find services and sites that will help you master submit your links. Remember it's worth the effort just for the back links alone.

One last tip from one marketer to another: make sure your submissions are interspersed with other websites that are popular. This will make it look natural and organic. And of course never abuse any software or service because it will get your site banned. Good luck.

How to Forgive Someone

Weve all heard the saying, You have to forgive, but you dont have to forget. I wont refute that, but you have to agree that a lot of people use that excuse to never really forgive at all. Are you one of those people?

Lets rephrase it a little. You have to forgiveand you have to forget the anger, the pain, the anxiety, and everything else that comes with someone sinning against you. But you dont have to make yourself a target (even though Jesus did). Sound a little more difficult? This is really the Christian way of life, and its going to be difficult. No one promised you would enjoy it.

So well start with the forgiveness. This is where you have the most control, because its an act of will. You have to decide to forgive, and then do it. Heres a short list of what this involves:

No more daydreaming about your perpetrators pain and suffering.

Stop thinking about the what if outcomes, and accept what happened.

Start praying for the person. Not for their punishment, not for them to see the lightpray for their good and their soul. Say a simple Hail Mary, without meditating on the one youre praying for. Meditate on the words, and dedicate it to your perpetrator. Let God decide how to reward or punish them.

If you can do something nice for the person, do it without grumbling and without reminding them of what they did wrong.

Stop gossiping about them.

Every time you find yourself thinking about it, change the subject. Think about the starving kids in China, your financial problems, Baby Jesusanything.

Now that (believe it or not) is the easy part. Now it comes time to deal with the anger and pain. Sometimes its easy. But in cases of serious violation, or when someone hurts a loved one, the very idea sounds idiotic. And no, youll never completely let go, but you can completely try. And you can start by using some of the techniques listed above.

Youll probably have to take it further. Youll have to swallow those emotions. Bury them deep. Yes, Im going against what every therapist out there is preaching, but talking and sulking is no way to get over anything. Youve had your period of pity; its time to move on. When you feel the flame of anger building inside you, force it to the back of your mind, and let it die. Dont waste another second of your life stewing. Itll take practice, but every day is another chance.

Finally, theres that last part. This is where most of us have trouble. This is also where we have to weigh our duties, and choose whats most important. Here are a few questions to help you sort it out:

Does it involve someone under your protection? Im talking mainly to parents. Our children obviously come first, and were never obligated to put them in danger.

Does it involve a sexual violation? I dont have to go into this. If someone isnt treating your body like a Temple of Christ, then stay away from them.

Does it involve injury? The big question here is How much? A school boy shouldnt offer himself out to the wedgie bully, but a pop in the arm is usually more a matter of humiliation than personal injury. If your body is being harmed by someone, you have a right to stop thembut again, Christ didnt. Also, consider how likely the person is to harm you again. If it was a one-time event, you should let go. On a side note: Repeated domestic violence has several victims, especially children. And track records show that very few offenders only strike once. If youre trying to figure out whether or not to leave such a situation, stoop thinking and get out.

Does it involve personal property? Whos property? If youre raising a family, you cant risk everything and ignore their needs. But ask yourself if the amount stolen or damaged property is worth the hassle of never trusting someone again.

Does it involve your good name? Hunker down and forget about it. The truth will set you free. Lies hurt the liar more than anyone else. If its the truth, then just be more careful of what you saybut dont withhold something begrudgingly.

Change Our Thoughts to Change Our Lives

We learned in science that objects and our bodies are comprised of atoms which are in constant motion. Matter vibrates. If the motion increases, the state of the object changes. Ice is heated to water. Water is heated to steam. Light, heat, and electricity vibrate. Colors form a spectrum from red to violet. As the pulsation increases, the colors shift from red to orange to yellow to green to blue to violet. All energies move and shift. We energy; we are vibrations.

What is true of our physical bodies is also true of our mental states. Just as physical objects modify their state, such as water to steam and lights from red to orange, our thoughts adjust. Thoughts are vibrations. We can stimulate our ideas and move them to a higher state, or we can lower them and become caught in negative emotions. We change. How we do that is our choice.

A practical spirituality teaches us that we can't cling to old ideas or patterns that are no longer useful or positive. We can think better thoughts. We can think higher thoughts. Our emotions are influenced by people around us. While we may not sense, observe or describe the differences as vibrations, we are aware that some people are more uplifting. Others bring us down.

We choose those who surround us. We choose which thoughts and emotions dominate our lives. Each mental or emotional state has its own rate of vibration. We can transform that rate at will and maintain a mental calm, unaffected by the opinions around us. Negative beliefs do not have to alter our positive state. We manage our thoughts. We do not have to get caught in the up and down drama of family, friends and associates.

Our challenge is to rise above the normal, material thoughts and be more positive, more evolved, and more spiritual.

Great Video For Opening Your Christian Minds

I was reading a book on advertising when the author mentioned, "All Advertising Is about Hope."

This got me thinking about other people's dreams and aspirations, most of this is wrapped around them hoping to accomplish something or do something. I never gave it much thought but hope is one of the most important things in our lives. Some people go around hoping that they will keep their job, when the economy is in bad shape. Others go around hoping for forgiveness for their sins or other bad deeds they have done in the past.

What is it you're hoping for? There's got to be something. Are you hoping to become a multimillionaire or even the world's first trillionaire. Are your dreams big or small? Are you the kind of person who is happy living a simple life with very little possessions like a Buddhist monk or are you one who is seeking the lifestyle of the King.

Hope supplies us with the will to continue through hopeless obstacles during our lifetime.

Most people seeking hope are looking for a way out of something or a way toward a better life. These people often fall easy prey to large religious organizations, as they take them under their wing and slowly start to brainwash them. They seek the weak minded, helpless, poor and trusting people and build their organizations using them. I once believed in Christianity, but it no longer offers me true hope, the more I study Christianity and other organized religions, I noticed certain similarities based on inspiration.

I hope I live the good life, so I can go to heaven, the promised land, our ultimate enlightenment.

I hope I am living the true will according to God, Buddha, Krishna or other supreme beings.

I hope that the Bible is wrong about the 144,000 people from the 12 tribes.

I hope I'm living a life that is pleasing to the Lord.

If you're part of an organized religion, ask your religious leaders, any questions that you have about your religion. If they can't answer these questions, try to find them on your own. Books, videos, and the Internet are great sources for information. If you're living your life for the sole purpose of going to heaven one day, you could be disappointed, when that day arrives.

Ask a couple of questions and I hope you will get honest answers to them.
