Jesus Christ preached the good news of the Kingdom of God. He promised to return and establish this Kingdom here on earth. Judging from what is happening on the world scene we can guarantee that this time is not too far off. Escalating violence, rising food prices, religious sects that promote polygamy (false prophets) and diseases such as bird flu, and the change in weather patterns all indicate that we are living in the end time.
The seventh angel blew his trumpet and there were loud voices shouting in heaven. The whole world has now become the Kingdom of our Lord and of His Christ, and He will reign forever and ever. (Revelation 11:15)
In this Kingdom there will be no crime and everyone will live in perfect peace and harmony.
All wars will stop and military training will come to an end. Everyone will live quietly in their own homes in peace and prosperity, for there will be nothing to fear. (Micah 3-4).
Diseases will be cured and desert lands will be converted to beautiful gardens and pleasure grounds.
And when he comes he will open the eyes of the blind and unstop the ears of the deaf. The lame will leap like a deer and those who cannot speak will shout and sing! Springs will gush forth in the wilderness and streams will water the desert. The parched ground will become a pool, and springs of water will satisfy the thirsty land. Marsh grass and reeds and rushes will flourish where desert jackals once lived. (Isaiah 35:6-7).
The location of this Kingdom will be in Jerusalem, the city where Christ was born, crucified and resurrected.
"In the last days, the Temple of the Lord in Jerusalem will become the most important place on earth. People from all over the world will go there to worship... There he will teach us his ways, so that we may obey him. For in those days the Lord's teaching and his word will go out from Jerusalem. (Micah 4:1-3)
Jesus told us not to worry about the cares of this life but to seek the Kingdom of God and his righteousness and everything we need will be given to us.
God's world would be absolutely perfect, beyond our imagination, and as long as we remain true and faithful to him, we will rule together with him in this perfect paradise.
